Hi, I'm Dr. Bertsie Linchangco

I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian since I was a small child. Although I wasn't privileged of growing up with animals, I took every opportunity I had to care for stray animals when I visited my mother's home country of Nicaragua. In college I started working in the veterinary field and was able to adopt my first pets: a rabbit, dog and cat. It was in the solace of my pets that confirmed I wanted to become a veterinarian. I developed a passion for being able to care for animals so that they can continue to provide comfort to their owners.

I completed my veterinary training at Lincoln Memorial University- College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. I worked as an urgent care veterinarian in Minnesota before calling Illinois my home.

I have obtained Fear Free Certification and also am proud to be certified as a Cat Friendly Veterinarian through the American Association of Feline Practitioners.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time on our farm with my family. My husband and I are parents to 2 beautiful boys. We also share our home to some of the sweetest dogs and cats; you will find 2 of our cats pictures in the exam rooms. I look forward to serving my community and am excited to be a part of the RWAH family.
